In coming up with daily Major League baseball results and commentary
for this blog, I find Yahoo’s Major League Baseball Site an invaluable and indispensible resource for recapping the game being covered, perusing box scores, following the flow of the game play-by-play or checking out any player’s hitting and fielding stats or pitching line for the season and seeing how a given player’s stats stack up against his peers and the league average. 

The site is user friendly and every utility is easy to find and use.

There are however, two downsides to the site;

1/ Yahoo does not update it’s stats for quite a number of hours after the final game of the previous day is completed.

2/ I wish that Yahoo would upgrade it’s game play-by-play utility in order to see and retain the sequence of each pitch, i.e. fastball, curve, changeup, slider, inside, outside, high, low, each pitch fouled off, etc. on each player’s game at-bat.  This way, one could retain a flavor for the flow of the game on a pitch-by-pitch, play-by-play basis.

Here’s hoping that Yahoo’s Major League Baseball Site makes these enhancements in the near future.
