                         Pete Rose

Pete Rose, playing in the 2nd of his 5 seasons with the Phillies stole 2B‚ 3B‚ and home in the 7th inning on the pitching battery of Mario Soto and utility catcher Don Werner as the Phils, enroute to their 1980 World Championship, defeated Rose’s old team, the Cincinnati Reds by a 7-3 score on May 11, 1980.

In all of MLB history, only 48 players, 24 in each league have accomplished the feat of stealing 2B‚ 3B‚ and home in one inning.  Only 13 players since 1925 have accomplished the feat; 9 in the AL and 4 in the NL.

                         Eric Young

The most recent player to accomplish the feat was 2nd baseman Eric Young, then of the Colorado Rockies, vs the L.A. Dodgers on June 30, 1996 in the 3rd inning against the pitching battery of Japenese-born pitcher  Hideo Nomo and catcher Mike Piazza.  Young stole a 4th base in the game, this in the 8th inning off of reliever Antonio Osuna and Piazza enroute to the Rockies win in a wild one by a 16-15 score.
